This page will be dedicated to the beginning repair person such as myself on the repair of frames, typebar levers, keys, etc etc.
I will be using a Miller Dial-Arc tig welder for frame repairs
Monarch 3 with cracked front corner frame.
I used a dremel grinder disc to bevel the edges and used a silicone bronze rod for tigging.
Here's the area after being welded. This should clean up nice. Using a tig keeps the heat local. I will file/grind down the excess metal.
Here is the weld cleaned up with a dremel tool.
Ready for primer and paint, good as new
